12 Days of Christmas: 2022

This year, we reinvented the wheel. We tried to repeat anything that we did from years prior. This was harder than it sounded, but we were able to have some really fun memories.

1st Day of Christmas

As we cruised through the luminous lanes, our car became a festive sleigh, taking us on a spirited journey through a twinkling wonderland. From Santa's pit stop to reindeer relay races, the converted racetrack didn't just showcase lights; it painted an illuminated tapestry of holiday merriment. Our family's Christmas lights adventure was a high-octane celebration, where every turn brought a new burst of festive brilliance, turning a simple drive into a memory-making expedition filled with laughter, wonder, and the sheer joy of being together under the twinkling lights.

It was definitely a fun time in the car as we shared Christmas cookies and tunes. We enjoyed the event, and the fact that it was for charity made it even more enjoyable. Oh, and we had souvlaki for dinner, YUM!

We went on a sacred journey to the Dallas Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which is not merely a visit but an opportunity for profound service and spiritual connection. Embarking on a surprise mission to support our daughter, who is a service missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, at the Salvation Army's food pantry and shelter, turned into a joyous family adventure! Together, we dove into the heart of the action, transforming the organizational mission into a lively family affair. Armed with enthusiasm, we checked expiration dates, rearranged shelves, and created a more accessible space for those in need. Amid the laughter and shared efforts, it became evident how our daughter's dedication had woven a tapestry of love and appreciation among her fellow coworkers. It wasn't just about organizing food; it was a festive exploration of service, a chance to witness the impact of her work firsthand, and a delightful reminder that even in the midst of service, joy and camaraderie abound.

4th Day of Christmas

Exploring this widespread phenomenon of frisbee golf courses scattered across the United States, we geared up by snagging specific frisbees from Amazon, unlocking the gateway to a whole new level of frisbee precision. Amid the throws and cheers, fellow enthusiasts on the field not only embraced the spirit of friendly competition but also let us in on a game-changing secret—an app that ingeniously mapped out the trajectory for the next "hole."
